“Responding to criticism”

08232020

Most of us live a public life, especially if you are on social media. Even if you are not online [often], you will be or have already been a recipient of unfair criticism from family, friends or co-workers.

We cannot whine or complain about it. We cannot get distracted by it or make impotent threats. And most certainly, we cannot take it personally either.

We have a job to do while on this earth, and trying to control other people’s opinions is like trying to control the weather.

A public life guarantees public scrutiny (however you define “public”). So, remember this: Live in a way in which you stick to your ideals and ethics, and do your work well.

In the end, proper judgement will be rendered.
