Welcome! This blog is an intimate extension of my journaling practice – a space where I process life's shifting seasons, lessons, and quiet realizations. I share these personal reflections to create a bridge for anyone walking through similar transitions, reminding us that we rarely go through them alone. An Intentional Reset: Finding Clarity in the Pause

If August was about stepping into a vast, untraveled landscape, September has been about learning how to walk through it – one deliberate step at a time.

On paper, this past month might have looked slow to an outside observer. There were no overnight transformations, no massive headlines, and no shortcut leaps. But beneath the surface, it has been a month of deep forward progress.

It started when I decided to hit reset. I took two full weeks to quiet the noise, strip away external expectations, and be completely open to receiving clarity.

When you allow yourself that kind of silence, the truth has a funny way of surfacing. What I found was a simple, grounding realization: in the chaos of managing transitions, job shifts, and survival mode, I had quietly abandoned something essential to my spirit.

Since competing at World Masters Weightlifting in September 2025, I had completely stepped back from the sport and fitness altogether. At first, it was intentional. I told myself my body needed a physical break after high-level competition, and I needed to channel all my energy into building my LLC business. My regular 3-4x/week in the gym shrank to a sporadic 2-3x a month! With no competitions on my 2026 calendar, my conditioning naturally waned. A single workout every 10 days left me sore for days, making recovery feel like an uphill climb. In trying to save energy for building my business, I had accidentally disconnected from the very outlet that keeps me grounded.

During my two-week pause, I decided to hit the gym again. It felt so good I went three times those weeks! Yes, I felt the soreness in my muscles. More importantly, I felt something else… I remembered how alive I felt in my body again!

Taking that pause also challenged my existing ideas about community. I thought I knew which circles I wanted to be a part of in this current season. But I realized how deeply I missed the kind of grounded, uplifted community I had when I lived in Virginia, something I hadn’t quite managed to replicate since moving out West.

Reconnecting with fitness was one thing, but walking into a local gym and remembering, “THIS is what a supportive, aligned community actually feels like” was the true clarity I had been seeking.

Taking an intentional pause reminded me of a fundamental truth: you cannot build a new life if you abandon the exact practices and communities that keep you grounded.

Slowing down and pausing taught me to look at these new opportunities through a completely different lens:

  1. They are reminders of what matters: They put my physical strength, vitality, and stress relief back at the center of my daily routine.
  2. They are networks of connection: They place me in dynamic environments where I am meeting new people, building relationships, and opening doors to networks I couldn’t have accessed remaining in my current space.
  3. They are steadying anchors: They provide structure and purpose without consuming the mental bandwidth I need to build my long-term vision.

These opportunities are part-time by design and I know they are not a detour from my expansion—they are the expansion. They are the exact terrain I am meant to walk across during this cycle to prepare me for whatever lies ahead.

Sometimes, the next big chapter begins quietly, on a gym floor early in the morning, during an onboarding training, or in the simple satisfaction of helping someone else hit a personal best.

Every connection made today is a seed planted for tomorrow. I am right where I am supposed to be: moving forward, grounded in peace, and fully expectant of what comes next.
