“More to learn”

08302020

“It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows.” – Epictetus.

Get rid of your preconceptions. Do away with the dogmas in your head.

Instead, be humble. Be open to things you don’t know, or things that challenge what you do know. Be prepared for an opportunity to learn.

Humility is an easy virtue to talk about. Yet, much harder to put into practice. Don’t be afraid to admit or say, “I don’t know,” or especially admit to “I could be wrong.”

Instead, look at it as, “Maybe I have more to learn.” This attitude will more likely lead to change and improvement.

Give it a try this week.
